The Uneventful Section (as I have dubbed it), continues! I hiked with Fitz for a large part of the day. We took a swim at lunch in a fast flowing river, with Billy Goat’s group next to us.
Just as we were about to head out, someone came down to us. He was doing trail magic at the nearby parking lot. And since we never say no to trail magic, we extended our noon break there.
Booster, Pippin, Veto, Poseidon, Captain Something, Cookie and Drive Thru got to the campsite before we did and had set up in a row, all cowboy camping. We quickly joined in and extended the giant bed, as it was called. It felt like a massive hiker sleepover party. Moments like these really break the more monotonous days.
